Metrics In Construction

This course will help you understand how the metric system was developed, where it is used today, and some important fundamentals of the modern metric system. You will be introduced to two metric base units and their common prefixes, two "derived" units and their common prefixes, and three other commonly used metric units. You will also learn the strict SI rules for spelling, using symbols, correct spacing between numbers and units, the use of decimal markers and powers of ten, and the proper way to separate long numbers into groups of digits.
