Lead Abatement Worker or Supervisor

This course meets all the California requirements of CCR, Title 8, Section 1532.1. Course completion qualifies our members to work in a lead abatement environment. It prepares the worker to recognize whether or not health and safety procedures are adequate in the work setting. The class also teaches how to control and minimize hazards and protect themselves and others from Lead exposure. The course covers: history and uses of lead, regulations/worker rights, health effects/medical surveillance, sampling for lead, correct work, waste disposal, and personal protection practices. Classroom instruction is combined with hands-on training using state-of-the-art personal protective equipment.

No pre-requisites required at this time

Upon Completion

You will be issued a UBC Photo ID wallet card indicating successful course completion.

Certificate Type

This is a qualification issued by the United Brotherhood of Carpenters (UBC) that meets all Federal and State requirements.

Certificate Expires

One (1) year from date of course completion

Refresher Requirement

Before the certificate expires, an eight (8) hour refresher class is required to maintain active status.
